Trick or Treating? We are going to prepare a delicious chocolate cake. The trick is, he is going to turn into a monster. And the deal, if you dare, is that we provide you with the recipe. Our beloved monster is made of cocoa and caramel and is a fun orange color.

Can you imagine the face of your children when they see this monster cake so original for a children's party? It certainly seems like a great idea to create a Halloween recipe for kids. The elaboration is simple and the result is very attractive.

  • 50 ml of oil.
  • 160 gr of sugar.
  • 1 egg L.
  • 90 gr of cake flour.
  • 30 gr of defatted cocoa without sugar.
  • 2 teaspoons of yeast.
  • 190 ml of semi-skimmed milk.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • 175 g of unsalted butter.
  • 325 g of icing sugar.
  • 30 ml of liquid caramel.
  • Orange color paste

1. Preheat the oven to 180º and grease the mold. We start by beating oil, sugar and egg in a bowl. When they are integrated, we add sifted flour, cocoa and yeast. The dough will become homogeneous, at that moment we dissolve the vanilla in the milk and add it to the mixture. We beat and finally pour the water (which must be boiling). Bake 45 minutes or until, when you click a toothpick in the middle, it comes out clean; Let it cold down.

2. To assemble the cream, beat the butter for 5 minutes together with the sifted icing sugar, and after this time, add the caramel to beat for two more minutes. We dye the cream with half a teaspoon of coloring in orange paste and reserve. We place the cake on a tray and cover it with a layer of cream.

3. We introduce the rest of the cream in a pastry bag. For the decoration of the monster we are going to use a round nozzle. We cover the cake with cream again, this time we help ourselves with the pastry bag. We must make lines from top to bottom, so that they look like threads.

4. Next, we will make another layer with a more irregular decoration. The more irregular it is, the better. Let's not forget that it is a monster!

5. To create the eyes, we have painted two polystyrene balls with a permanent black marker, and we have nailed them to two wooden sticks.

6. We finish by placing the eyes on the top of the monster cake. We can also use a little white fondant to shape the teeth that will be the mouth. And ... we already have an original Halloween recipe for children!
